I need to choose a college, please help!!!

I do not know which college to go to. Please give me some advices.
I have accepted to university of illinois at urbana-champaign at ACE (agricultural and biology) with 14,000$ scholarship and case western reserve university with undecided major.
Money does not matter that much.
I want to transfer to other schools in sophomore year or continue to study in graduate school. So I need to get good recommendations and good GPA.
Please give me some advice. If you were me, which school will you choose?

Why do you want to transfer to other schools? UIUC is a better school overall but you’d probably get a higher GPA at Case.

I got rejected from my dream school, but I still want to try to transfer to the school. My college consular told me that I need really good GPA and recommendations for transfer. I think that it is important to mention it in the thread.

If you transfer, they will still have to see your high school transcript, although it isn’t weighted as much as it was in high school. The chances of getting accepted aren’t that high though. I’d go with the school you’d rather attend assuming you don’t get accepted.

Thank you for your suggestion. I heard that Case has many homework, and it is a better place to study. May I know why do you think that it is easier to get a high GPA at Case?

Privates tend to have higher GPA averages than publics.

Case is a smaller school so it may be easier as a freshman to get to know some professors who could then provide you with a recommendation.

That said I think you need to make your decision based on where you think you will be happiest, just in case your transfer plan doesn’t work out.

UIUC - Case is great but not with 50K in savings.

Putting aside the money

I don’t agree with the prior poster that UIUC is a better school than Case, though the schools are pretty close. It’s really one of those choices that come down to whether you prefer big vs small, etc.

Thank you ! :)

Right now, I prefer case because of its small class size. I cannot imagine a classroom with 1000 students.
