Hi, I am student from Europe and I have a question about studying for SAT.
How to study for it? I have two huge SAT books with test exams (DD, and Kaplan, I believe) but these only contain test examples.
I want to study the actual material since all of my books are in my language (Croatian). SO can you recommend me textbooks that covers all the material needed for SAT? I need Math, English, Biology and Chemistry (and Math ll, if that exists) text books.
If you have any advice on how to study for SAT please do let me know.
Cheers

Oh and is it possible to download any of those books you’d recommend on Internet?

Okay so are you studying for the actual SAT or the subject tests(SAT II) ?
For the actual SAT exam, the best review book without a doubt is the Blue Book, which is the official SAT guide by the actual test makers. For vocabulary, I would recommend Direct Hits, both versions “Core Vocabulary” and “toughest vocabulary.” Also have a good calculator like the TI-84 or the Nspire CX CAS. For the math part, try Dr. Chung’s SAT math and for grammar, try Grammatix-official SAT and PSAT strategy guide. Hopefully this helped you but remember you can’t just cram for the SAT, the strategies required are the ones we learn from school as young kids. So don’t stress you’ll be fine if you work hard and study diligently. Also, the review books you already have use them for practice and practice practice practice! After you’ve taken many of these practice tests, you’ll notice patterns and similarities in question format. Good Luck!

I think Grammatix is available online as a PDF document. Just google the official SAT and PSAT strategy guide and I’m pretty sure it’s the first link.

Thanks, what about biology? What textbooks do you guys use in high school?

So are you taking the actual SAT or the subject tests because bio is not on SAT I it’s a subject test?

Yes I believe so. If I got it right, SAT is English and Math right?

Yes it’s math and English. No need to worry about bio and stuff unless you’re taking subject tests.

I am, I am not sure which one though. Does each US college have specific SAT II I need to take or they just require, per instance, 2 SAT II exams and I can choose which one I am going to take?

Most US colleges don’t require an SAT II but it’s good to have 2-3. Take the ones you are familiar with and have taken classes for. If you’ve taken biology and you think you have a strong understanding of the subject, then go for it. However, you don’t need to go overboard and take, say, 6-7.

I get it. Well, I like biology and it’s easy, but everything I know is in Croatian, so I hope I will be able to find a textbook or something so I can re-learn everything in English.
I need actual material for this issue, not test examples, don’t I?

Yes you need the actual material but also the test examples to become familiar with types of test questions. The more you do the better you get and you’ll also notice patterns in the questions. Good Luck!

Yea exactly, so that is what I’m asking here, if someone knows which textbooks are good, and if there are any that are downloadable via web. In PDF or something. If you know, let me know, and thanks!
