I need your advice! Have you heard..

I'm looking for a film school - not four year schools. looking for two year if possible - and interested in screen writing. yet, I really need your help! : )

does anyone know about 'cornish college of the arts' in WA? someone told me about it but still, I don't have enough information. is it a good school? what do you guys know about that school?

also, I'd like to know about film schools out of Washington State. now I have NY, CA (and might MA as well - I'm thinking BU but not sure cuz I kinda want two year school more than four year) on my list but actually I don't know whether should I move or not. personally, I think staying in WA is pretty fine for me (and I like here). and actually, I feel like I won't make it if I move to NY or CA even they provide better education in film. do you guys know what I mean? I'm actually international student, so.. yeah, I can't ignore the money stuff.. (well, I guess everyone does too) so my situation is like I want to stay here (in WA) but also wanna go to better school (if I find one out of WA).....

thanx for reading and pls pls pls help me!! ; )

I just took a visit to Cornish and really liked it, but it is not a two year school. They have a major in motion design, but also have an original works program that is more for students who want to write, direct, and act in their own plays. I’m not certain that they are quite right for a film major, and if you have your heart set on a two year school, I don’t think they would be the right fit because they are definitely a four year art school.

Santa Monica College is a two year institution that is part of the California public community college system. They have both film studies and a separate academy that trains students in some of the technical aspects of filmmaking and also offers internships in the entertainment industry. You can look on the website for SMC to check out these programs. My impression, though, is that many of the students in these two year programs are not looking on the AA as a terminal degree but plan to transfer to film schools for their junior and senior years.
