Hi,
I'm a rising senior, and I'm having trouble deciding whether I should take Honors Calc 3 (Multivariable) or AP Stats next year. Here's how I see things:

PROS OF CALC:
-more impressive
-several of my friends will be in the class (dumb reason, but still important to me)

CONS OF CALC:
-too hard
-don't have that much time to devote to it
-don't think I'll use it in the future
-I'M NOT THAT GOOD AT MATH--I TOOK CALC BC THIS YEAR AND I HATED IT

PROS OF STATS:
-i'll probably actually use it in the future
-notoriously easy course at my school/won't need to devote much time to it
-apparently I will seem more mature because I'm choosing a course that I'll need in the future instead of just trying to impress colleges

CONS OF STATS:
-too easy
-might look like i'm slacking off; usually people go from ap calc bc to calc 3, not ap stats
-i'll be in a class with a bunch of people i don't know (again, dumb reason but important to me)

FYI: both are weighted the same.

Please let me know what you think! THANK YOU!!

Take AP Stats - if you hated Calc BC and aren’t really math driven, then don’t ruin your senior year with Calc III. I feel like “joke” APs (which at my school are Psych, Enviro, etc.) are perfect for senior year, because you’re still enrolled in APs but you aren’t being crushed by heavy weights like AP Physics C or AP European History.

I’m not sure how important this is, but I managed to get an A both semesters in Calc BC–I just didn’t like the class at all, and I’m pretty sure I screwed up the AP test. Is MV truly for those who are math driven?
