I omitted an entire section on the SAT (CR)...

Hi guys,

I omitted an entire section of the SAT today (CR) 'cause I already had a decent score on that section from a previous administraO.

Is this OK?

thank you

You know what? You just might be lucky and have that CR section as the experimental... you never know... :P

At least, my test form had more CR sections, and so I assume there must be others like mine (I do know that the forms vary from person to person).....

it depends on which schools you're trying for...some schools want to see the best score at one sitting. just a though u might want to keep in mind...

allizarin, I skipped all CR sections (four total) :) :) :)

:P

Do I even want to know why? ^^

Anyway, I wish I could do that. CR is my weakest--seriously gives me a headache when I force myself to concentrate on those dry passages.

sigh Hopefully I'll do well enough I'll never have to take 'em again....

someone else could offer his/her advice on this issue?

I thought that CB would cancel your scores automatically if you omit a full section...

this was a bad mistake, now when colleges look at your score, they'll think your good cr score was a fluke

Why didn't you just take it again?

This has to be a joke. If it's not, it will reflect extremely badly on you. It will also deflect the benefit of any improvement you made today on the other sections. Just because colleges take combined scores doesn't mean they won't be ****ed if you get a 200...

More like a 220. He left them all blank, not incorrectly answered.

It depends on your target score. It doesn't look too good though. I think you should retake it. Which section was it, btw?

Why would you ask us "if it's okay" AFTER you've done it?

cause I haven't sent it in yet and I don't know if I will

Well, if you send your previosu scores, and don't cancel this one, colleges will see it anyway. And why do you have two usernames?

seriously dude your an effing mess :P

cancel them now. although colleges look at the highest score for each section, they really don't want to see a 750 and a 250, because they'll think you either somehow cheated, the 750 was a fluke, or your lazy and really don't care about the SAT

Two identities? There's something fishy going on here.

maybe seb23 got the 800
and lolipop got the 200
ooooooo. lol goodness me
to both of you: i would not have tried something like that.
If you could get a really good score the first time, you can get it again right?

you better cancel your scores now and explain to your mom how you wasted 50 or so bucks lol.
