I passed APUSH, but I might have been the only one in my class...

Alright, so I have a Q.

My APUSH teacher had to leave because he had cancer mid-first semester last year. We covered up until the Civil War at the end of the 1st semester(a little before, actually). Then we continued having sub after sub after sub for months. We finally got a permanent teacher, straight from college, obtaining a degree in "social science" or w/e... so he had no clue about history. We got up until the Compromise of 1877 in my class.

While our old teacher was here, and after sub after sub during the 1st semester, I recieved a B (one of 5 outta 60, one kid getting an A, the rest Cs,Ds,& Fs).

I called a few days ago to find out my score... and I managed a 3. Predictions had me passing (my class was banking on me, being sal). I think maybe 2 other people may pass, but not much more than that.

I've heard of grades being changed if an AP exam is passed on CC... should I bring it up? We were screwed over the first semester, grade-wise. All of our grades were tests given by the subs, and everyone was messed up, not having a teacher. I managed an A the 2nd semester though.. but just barely. Normally, I wouldn't care, but if I can get my 1st semester grade changed to an A, do I have grounds to do it?

Thanks!!

Unless there's already a school policy about that already, I think it might be difficult to get your grade changed now.

I had a similar situation last year in AP Euro; worked extremely hard in the class and got close to the highest scores on every test, but ended up being the only person in the class to get a B (everybody else got A's:( ). In the end, I was the only one to pass the AP test, but damn, that B still stings everytime I see it on my transcript. I think you're probably best just taking the B and moving on. Although, it probably wouldn't hurt to try asking if it really bugs you...

lol, it only bothers me cause it was the only B i got this year, and i'm salutatorian, and the top3 is sooooooooooooooo close, it would rock my socks off if it were to be changed!

I'd say go for it then. The worst thing that happens will probably be it not getting changed, right? If you feel you deserve the A, it probably doesn't hurt to ask... Good luck!
