I took the psat as a freshman this october and got a 1020(EBRW: 530 Math:490 around 70th percentile)! Is this bad?
For starters, there’s no such thing as “failing” the SAT or PSAT. You get what you get, and you find colleges where those scores are acceptable.
Secondly, you’re a freshman. You have a base score, great. But you just got into high school. Give yourself a little time-- to relax and to learn some material-- before you sweat getting into college.
Agree with above. And did you study or just take it cold? Have you even had all the math yet in school that is on the test? Did your school have you take it as a practice, and it will have you take a practice again in sophomore year before the real one that counts in junior year? Use it as a base benchmark and work to improve the score. This one means nothing.
I did a practice test. Also, I’m in Alg 2 which is why im mad at myself for scoring so low.
