When I was 12 I was published twice in New Moon Magazine (national magazine for girls 8-14, it's changed to New Moon Girls now but it's still the same magazine). After that I was accepted onto the Girls Editorial Board, but since the mandatory "graduation" age for the board was 15, I was only on the board freshmen year and a bit of sophomore year (I'm young for my grade). We met twice a month to choose and edit submissions, choose cover art and illustrators, discuss major changes to the magazine, and so on. Adult editors did the grunt work of actually assembling the magazine, but we played a large part. It was a great experience, but I haven't done any other official writing activities since except for a couple of essay contests and writing on my own... sports and music took over my life. So it might look almost out of place on my already pretty eclectic and large list of activities.

I have six activities for the common app, so I guess I could add it as a seventh, but I kind of feel like it would fit better in some sort of additional information section. What do you guys think? Additional information or activity section, or both? Should I/could I send a copy of one of the articles I wrote?
