and i won't be applying to top colleges* for undergrad, but i promise to do much better in college and then take a shot at the best grad schools.

anyone else on the same boat?

*disclaimer: i might try for u of c, even if my chances of getting admitted seem remote- just because i respect the school so much that i won't ever think less of it if even if i get rejected.

it's hard when i look around me and realize that i won't be applying to the same schools as the top 10% kids are because of the poor decisions i've made over the years. had i been more motivated, i would have tried harder to maintain my #1 class rank. i'm now 53rd out of 318 kids.

Yeah, that's me. I'm trying for a lot of out of state schools, because I really want to get out of Kansas. But if it doesn't happen then it doesn't happen, and I can live with that because I'll be going somewhere awesome for grad school.

oooh, I never thought about Grad. school...I'm more focused on decent college...oh, but there is a chance to do well in undergrad. to get into a good grad. school...the light is shining...

i feel you gianscolere1, i made some bad decisions in school and all i can say to you is keep your head up and do good in whatever college you get into.

Good for you to keep that attitude up. Most kids feel completely devastated when they don't get that A..even I do, even though I hate to admit it.
