One of my teachers already mailed out the recommendations before I was going to ask her to take her time on it. What happens if you sent it before Form 1?

I'm hoping it doesn't matter, since mine did that too. I also sent my SAT scores prior to sending Form 1. Oops?

Can anyone make a comment about this? I'm interested in it too.

Hmm, I think everything should be filed together. However, from previous experience, I know that things can go wrong. I would just make sure that they received everything by the deadline. Call them or so.

It is safer to submit form1 first, because then they create a file for you where all the other stuff goes.

They probably will keep and file your forms anyway, but there is a greater chance that they'll get lost. If at the end they are missing some letters, they'll contact you and give you an opportunity to fax them within 2 days or so.

Should be fine. Same thing happened to me last year, and I got in.

Same here. Did the same thing last year (both recs got sent in 3-4 weeks before I submitted Form 1) and nothing got lost and I got in. Not really a big deal to be stressing out about.

what if we submitted form one and two online, but we accidentally gave teachers the normal rec forms rather than the ones with the applyyourself ID in the top corner of the page?

BUMP - I'd like to know the answer to the above question as well

I somehow doubt it will make a difference - I'm sure they're on top of things enough in admissions to be able to figure out who you are from the name and other info on the rec form.

It really shouldn't matter. They probably create a file for you when they receive material but I'm no admissions officer

they store all the incoming files in a pile, and if they don't find your pile (made from Form1), they store it in another pile, which they redistribute later into your pile.

in other words, dont worry : )

I heard that if they get your teacher/counselor recs before Part 1, they put you into the lazy pool, where the acceptance rate is only 5 %. :)

11argon, you're kidding, right?

but otherwise, this post has made me feel slightly more relieved, haha. =)

sarcasm is difficult to decipher over the internet.
