I seriously suck at math. help please.

I used to be good at math. I got into pre-algebra (8th grade math) entering middle school.

but for some reaosn i just grew to hate the subject. i got A's my first two years of high school but then this year i got a B- and C+ in Pre-Cal/Trig

I'm taking summer school right now. i didn't really try during the school year because i had som uch hoewmork for other classes i jsut gave up on math.

but yea. I took the SATs and i got a 1950 and my math wasn't too low compared to writing and reading but i took the SAT II's Math IIC and i got like 560 or something obscenely low like that. I took ti without studying but now i see that i do need to study or i won't be able to get a high score (cause i got teh 1950 without studying for the SAT I)

anyways, is there any way to easily prepare for the math SATII? i have the kaplan book but i don't know what an efficient way to study it is.

also i took the SAT I in june and i had a big project due the previous day which ih ad to stay up until 5 o'clock to do and i ended up dozing off during a section or two. i kept tyring to stay awake but i couldn't so i wasted 42 bucks on that test too. damnit.

PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.Thats the ONLY way to master SAT math. And after you're done PRACTICING hundreds of problems take a couple of PRACTICE tests(time yourself just as the proctor would when you take the actual test).so yeah dude- PRACTICE

a) don't sign up for a test if you're not gonna finish all the sections

I know that projects come up, but if you know that you had the SAT and that staying up that late would affect you, you should've done it earlier.

b) practice if you really want it bad

caa5042 hit it on the money though, PRACTICE. You say that you didn't study for the SAT; well maybe you should if you want to improve in math like you say you do.

practice makes perfect =)

i'm not so sure about that i practiced my a** off consistently for math weeks before the SAT, never once looked at reading and writing, and ended up going from a 680 to a 770 on reading, got a 780 on writing, and ONCE AGAIN got a 670 on math. I think some people seriously just suck at taking the SAT math.

Practice should be accompanied by mastering the concept or at least understanding the way the answer was achieved.
