It is mid-October and I have no clue where I'm going to EA apply. I have top 3 choices. One doesn't have EA so that's out of the running by default. The other two; one is a super super super stretch (read: HYPS) and the other I actually have a chance of getting into knocks on wood.. I am completely 100% in love with my super super super stretch and it's been my number one since I was 13 but I don't know if I should 'waste' my EA on a school where the chance of me getting in is less than 10% or use my EA for my number two where I know I have more of a chance to. My college counselor is 0 help so I need all the advice I can get.

Thanks!!!!

For the sake of comparison, what is the other school that you have more of a chance of getting into? Different schools have different policies on EA and how they may affect admissions

It’s Georgetown. It’s still a stretch, but definitely not as much as the other

Many schools don’t have a limit on how many you can apply to Early Action. There is a limit and it’s binding when you apply early decision.

However, if the OP applies EA to one of HYPS, then s/he agrees not to apply EA to most other private schools. Most schools that have EA do not have such a restriction.

yeah the struggle is choosing to apply scea with one school or regular ea with another
