April 30th -- that was specific to people who were deferred

^ I doubt the truth in that, that just absolutely sucks.

oh....it still sucks for those deferred!...im starting to give up on Michigan...i'll probably end up accepting UVa's offer and not wait for Michigan...this is killing me....

make decisions in 1 day? that seems to be quite strange @@ but I don't blame Michigan... the Feb 1st deadline must have given them a large amount of applications to deal with.

my "view decision" link finally came up on WA, but it just says a decision is in the mail. Should i just assume that's a rejection, or is there still a chance? Does anyone have any verified answer to this because it seems like there's a lot of contradiction on the topic (in this thread)

o, i'm a transfer applicant too if that means anything....

laimbeer 2008 what college did you apply to at u of m, you still have a chance hang in there sweetie

I applied to LSA for Cinema Studies.

do any of you still have no link in your app status? mine has been the same for a while >_< I wonder what that means...

Uhh yeah, many people still didn't get the view decision link..

no link for my D either - and she was deferred December 10.

jeez i have no link. with usc that meant you were accepted. what do you guys think?

I think I need to hear back from this place before I start making decisions about where I am going to college! If I were accepted here I would turn down all my other schools and go! This wait better have been worth it...

Hm....I just got my acceptance today!! It was posted on my wolverine access

Hopefully more will be out tomorrow then! But it's a relief to know that they are still accepting people. Hope!

I called today and the woman said all decisions were being mailed out on Friday. I asked if we would be able to see them on Wolverine Access and she said there would not be any decisions posted online, which confuses me since many people have found out via WA recently. Not sure, but she guaranteed everything would sent out Friday.

As far as I know, some decisions went out today. I'm in. Good luck all!

ALL competitive universities had a HUGE percentage increase in applicants...so why can't Michigan handle the influx??? They miscalculated the deluge of early action kids. Yes, lots of capable in-state kids got accepted...as did out-of-state kids with 3.9 and 4.0 the "easy admits" . Does Michigan realize they were a safety for The VAST majority of those OOS early admits????? Everyone else (like 80% of ED applicants?) were deferred in Michigan's Great PANIC of 2008. They didn't have the man power to get to the obvious (to us at least) deluge of applicants. So their actual Target market ( SMART kids applying NOT as a safety...but really wanting to attend) were supposed to WAIT until what...APRIL 15...30th??? It seems
VERY Few of Michigan's Early Action deferred Haven't moved on???? My high school and CC are full of Michigan's Early-Action "deferred" who have since committed to Cornell, Stanford, Dartmouth, UVA, Wash U, Brown...all while "waiting " for Michigan to get their letters out. Michigan is a great school with an outstanding reputation and they will be able to fill their freshman class from their WAIT LIST...many kids with considerably lower credentials than those 3.8's who would have enthusiastically accepted in December. No doubt it will all go down in admission lore as "the year Michigan thought they could do early action and it bit them in the butt" But that's a good thing...other universities can learn from their errors...let's just hope it's not OHIO STATE!

For those who were accepted/rejected, did UMich send out an email saying that your WA page was updated or anything like that?
