I submit to your awesome test taking prowess... =D

I'm in a bit of a quandary here.

I have to take 3 SATII's (Math Bio and Us History)
8 AP Tests (Too Many to List)
and the SAT I once or twice this year.

How in the WORLD should I schedule that to mitigate at least a little of the stress....? =/

well you don't schedule the AP tests, they schedule it for you. It's in May sometime :/

the 3 SAT IIs can all be taken in one sitting, back-to-back-to-back.
:)

I am aware of all of this. Thats where my panic attack came.

I could not figure out where to space it all.

(AP Studying will take up 99.9% of my time in April/May)

...?

Not difficult at all, take all the subjects one month, and then take the SAT on two other test months. The AP tests aren't on the same days so you will be fine.

For studying, take the subject tests soon, becuase they are the most study oriented. Once they're out of the way just do some practices for the Jan/Feb SATs. Then you will have the rest of the time for APs.

dude, chillax. Like I said, you do not need to worry about spacing anything.
You can't change the AP test dates, they're set in stone no matter what.

So take the SAT IIs in January or February and get them over with! You're only a junior, so if you want to retake them, just do it in June, after the APs are over.

How can I take the II's now? I have not finished the classes (History and Bio)

I thought I might take the SATII's in May as alot of the studying would overlap that of the AP tests....

Would January/June or March/June be a better SatI schedule?

Out of the three; which tests tend to be insane/less insane?

If you can, I would take SAT II's when you've just finished or have nearly finished the classes they're based on. The SAT I isn't particularly stressful... take it once to see where you stand, then take it again if you still want to.

I'd say APs are the most insane, followed by SAT IIs, and then the SAT I isn't even close.

are u taking any aps similar to ur SAT II's? If u are, studying for aps pretty much prepares u for the SAT IIs b/c aps are a lot harder. U should take SATI in January, march or may...SATIIs in June b/c u finished ur subjects and they make ur finals look like crap. APs are something u can't control, do well throughout the year and it won't be that hard to study for.

I'd suggest you take your subject tests in May/June if they correlate with your APs. Actually, take May so you can retake June without having to restudy everything too much. I have SO many friends who waited until october and who didn't score as high as they should have on their subject test even when they took the AP test correlating to the subject and did well.

As for APs, they are all taken in May. Best advice? AP tests are too much to cram for, esp if you have 8. so just keep up with your classes throughout the year, so you only need a quick review.

If you are self-studying APs.....id advice against it. Because quite frankly, 1-2 more APs don't make a difference once you already have 5+ anyway. Also, it's not worth sacrifcing precious study time for your SAT/SAT IIs and scoring poorly on those just because you want a couple more APs (which many colleges don't even regard in admissions processes)

As for SAT I, start building your vocab right away. that was my biggest mistake. it is NOT something you can cram in 2 weeks successfully. I would suggest that you try to take it in January or March. And take it once more your senior year because most pepole score better the fall of their senior year. However, study and take one in junior year because that was also another one of my mistakes, stressing about SATs when you should be doing apps in senior year fall is a disaster. this way, youll have a satisfactory junior year score to fall back on. Try to take the SAT by March because June has a terrible curve anyway and you want to save May/June for subjects.

Good luck!

I think you should take the subject tests in June, after APs, providing the subjects overlap. That way, you don't have to study for them.

Take the SAT I in March or something.

are you a junior?
I'd suggest taking the SAT in Dec or Jan just to see how you do and then you will know where you need to study. Then take the SATII for math in Jan so you won't have to take 3 exams back to back - anyone would run out of gas after 3 of them in a morning. Since history & bio overlap with APs I'd take them in May or June because you're learning the material and will have crammed for APs in april and may like you said.
The only time I can see you taking the SAT a second time is in March or possibly June if you take your SATIIs in May. You would have adequate time to study the sections you need to improve on (a couple months) and then you would have the summer+Sept to study if you wanted to retake in Oct/Nov.
Aim to study your hardest so you don't have to retake multiple times. Also, try the ACT without studying too much. You're not required to send the score anywhere, and if you do well, then that's great.

I took AP US and Bio last year, and just took the SAT II's for them in May. I wanted to prep early for the AP tests anyway, so the SAT II's gave me the perfect reason to. I got good scores on both my AP exams and SAT II's, so I think that you should either take the II's in May or June. (I don't recommend June though because you're going to have to refresh all your knowledge once again)
