Hi everyone!

I submitted a FAFSA/CSS estimate to all my schools for the priority deadline. However, when do I have to submit the real ones after my parents have filed this year's taxes?
I realize it may be different for each school but I've had trouble finding this information.
Thanks in advance!

Generally, submitting the FAFSA/CSS with estimates meets the schools’ deadlines. For FAFSA, update and resubmit it as soon as taxes have been filed and processed by the IRS. You and/or your parents should try to get taxes done as soon as possible. For CSS you need to look at each school’s finaid website to find out if and how they want it updated. Some schools want final tax returns and other doc submitted through IDOC, some have other procedures. There are deadlines for those submissions too. If you can’t find the info to your satisfaction, email the school’s finaid office. For both, just get taxes done as soon as possible and things submitted as early as possible to get the most accurate finaid awards before you make a decision to attend.
