Ok my ACT scores just in. A catastrophic 29. I knew I shouldn't have decided to take the ACT as a standby. I barely had ****ing 3 (4?) days to 'study'.

Great now it will be a miracle if it's anything more than a deferral. We'll see.

Sort of hoping that Upenn doesn't get my scores in time though lol, seeing how I just receive them like today.

did you apply early? sorry i’m kind of confused. they’ll definitely see your scores if you apply regular…

but if you did apply early, you must’ve submitted other scores. if you did well on those, then your 29 will mostly likely not harm you that much as long as your other scores were good.

other than that, if your GPA is great, you have good recs, ec’s and essays
a 29 isn’t the end of the world. good luck! and you never know what goes on in admissions!

I’m a 29er as well. But I believe and keep my head up. Adjust your mindset and be prepared for whatever life offers you. But don’t stop believing.

thanks guys well, yeahh I submitted SAT I also, since those are the only two tests (SAT I and ACT) that I had time to take before the ED deadline.

SAT I was 2120. Wondering if they will consider that without SAT IIs

I mean I understand where you’re coming from but they explicitly told me that if you submit SAT1 you need to do two II’s (one being preferably MathII) or act with writing. Anything other than those combinations is something that they don’t want/won’t consider. GL though! a 29 isn’t bad.
