2120 for Nov SAT. Is my UPenn ED hope over?

I just received CR750 M710 W660(***) for a horrible 2120. I mean I never even score this low during practices. Is my Upenn ED dream up?

If you get rejected it won’t be because of your SAT scores. chill out.

chill. thats not that bad buddy

thanks guys for trying to make me feel better, i appreciate that but i am seriously disappointed with myself. I’m praying that I score at least a 32/33 for ACT.

If I send both the 2120 and the 32/33, will undergraduate admissions disregard the lower score?

We have the exact same score (different breakdown, I have 750W 740CR 630M), but you are fine (at least, I hope). It’s in the middle 50%, its over 2100, worrying about it is a straight up waste of your time. It’s almost thanksgiving - think about how awesome that is instead.

And also, I like to think that 2120 is certainly not “horrible” - it’s not stellar, but it’s over the bar so you won’t be rejected because of it.

I’m pretty sure it’s above average unless you’re applying for Wharton.

your score on two part looks much better so ur fine

My SAT score is a measly 1990. Does this cut my chances at Ivies?

^yes it does. having said that, if you have done some amazing things or you a urm you still have a chance. and to the op it also depends on what you applying to. any dual degree programs or wharton that sat score is gonna be a stretch. but for CAS it definitely doesnt look to bad.

i guess if it’s any consolation for me, I applied CAS ED and the subject I’m interested in is a relatively unpopular one.

I have a friend who is applying to HYP with SAT scores around 1600(all 3 combined) but she’s an urm, first-generation, and has community service like crazy. IDK what to tell her…what can I tell her I mean should you automatically tell her she has no chance there even though the stats are right in your face or do you just go with the flow and wish here the best of luck…what should I do?

Yeah your dream is pretty much over.

Coming onto CC and crying for attention like this wont’ get you anywhere. I sleep well at night known that people like you don’t get into Ivy League schools. They don’t like attention whores.

Thank you for speaking out KyleTwentyEleven! I can’t stand people such as hugedilemma.

Jesus guys, the kid is an anxious senior who is starting his future. He’s insecure and is looking for some consolation. You, however, provide the opposite.

I sleep well knowing that cold, callous people such as you eventually get what they deserve.

although i understand where your coming from truzzi, you have to admit this is a bit ridiculous. it is a fact that anything over 2100 is a competitive score. although above a 2200 is better, its obvious that a 2120 is not going to make this student have no chance at penn. if they honestly think that, they should not be applying

sorry about the fuss guys lol but 2100-2200 from my country puts the person in the borderline ■■■■■■■■ category so I really didn’t know a 2120 was still ‘ok’.

point noted! :)

peace guys! and thanks truzzi ^ ^

haha okay sounds good. your country needs to redefine thier standards =)

You did well on Critical Reading and Math, which are the two more important sections among the three.

More like he’s just trying to get people to say exactly what they did - “you’re in the middle 50%, don’t worry about it” or “If you get in it won’t be because of your scores.” This is all just begging for attention, and there is FAR to much of it on this site. HugeDilemma just wants people to tell him what he already knows. He knows his scores put him well within range for UPENN, and he’s just posting this to show off and get attention.

It makes me sick.
