I Think I Faced Reality

I will NEVER get into a top 20 school, ever.

9th Grade (I know that is very young, but I have been attending this junior/senior high school since 7th Grade, with the same kids, so I know what my peak is.)
Family Income: $18,000
Family Situation: My mom went to community college in Asia. My dad dropped out in 9th Grade.
Race: Asian (Vietnam)

School Type: Premier College Prep School
GPA: 94.57/100
Class Rank: None, but not in the top 20%.
Honors Classes: Global History (My guidance counselor says do not expect to get into anymore honors classes, because there are just not enough teachers and not enough regents students to make another honors class. Screw AP, if I can't into any honor classes. As you can see from my income, I do not have enough money to take outside classes.)

Extracurricular Activities:

French Club
Spanish Club
Writers' Guild
Literary Magazine

Community Service: Only 3 hours, so far.

Cool story bro!

what a tragic story brah ):

You could self-study for APs? I’m planning on it. Look in the AP section, there’s lots of good info there about self-studying.

My school highly discourages self studying APs.

Do they offer APs? Are they just impossible to get into 'cause there’s too many kids that are capable of the work kinda? Or do they not offer them at all. Either way, they can’t actually stop you.

My school offers APs. 14 of them actually. But they just don’t like it when you don’t use the school’s resources.

They have many other rules, too. Like if you take a class outside of the school that is legit and the district approves of it, they still won’t give you credit for it.

There are some APs I would like to take, but my school does not offer them. Any rate, self studying seems good, but it seems too hard.

You are not going to get anywhere with that attitude
