I think I might have done myself in... (Chance Me)

So I applied to Chemistry at Berkeley, but I just found out Chem in L&S is much easier to get into than Chem at CoC...

Here are my stats (yes, they're a bit low compared to most people here on CC, but students at my school in previous years have gotten into Cal with lower stats):

Academics:
Cumulative GPA: 3.8 (Weighted 4.2)
Class Rank: 2/200
SAT: 1860 (CR 630, M 570, CW 660, Essay 10)
I have also taken three classes at a local community college (Intro to Psych, Chemical Calculations, and Trigonometry) (GPA 4.0).

EC:
Tutored for School District (100+ Hours)
Interned at a Hospital (170+ Hours)
Volunteered at local library (30+ Hours)
Student Senate (2 years)
Principals Advisory Committee (1 year)

I am also a first generation college student, coming from a low income family.

I also did a supplemental application.

your sat score could be stronger but beside that i think you have a REALLY solid shot of getting admitted because of your rank, gpa, and ecs, which can def. override your score (because frankly, your score is not that bad at all).

You have a shot…but I really think that SAT score is really hard to look over. You did get the supplement though, which is certainly a good thing! Good luck, and relax (as hard as it may be)…not much you can do anymore now, is there? You’ll hear back from the actual adcoms in a little bit.
