I think my AP Calc AB score is wrong...

I'm a math guy, and I'm pretty confident with my math score.
I got a 100.5 on my AMC12 and 800 on the math section of the SAT...790 on the Math l2 SAT 2.
I get straight As in my math classes, including my AP Calc AB class.

Yet I got a 3?? Thats stupid. The students who do significantly worse than I got 3s.
I know I did well on this test, and I prepped like crazy...

I think the AP score is wrong because I actually had a score delay...my AP Calc score didn't arrive with the others. I don't know why.....I only got this by mail early September...and apparently, my school didn't have a record of my score....

Anyways, is there a possibility that the Collegeboard might have lost/mixed up my score sheet?

I'm really appalled by this...

That’s really strange. I got my scores ages ago. I would definitely check into that.

And if worst comes to worst, you could retake the exam this year :frowning: If you got your scores in September, contacting the College Board 3 months later looks a little odd. However, considering all that went wrong, you might be able to have your test rescored. (I know for an extra fee you can have someone hand check the MC section). And in addition to that, I think the CB archives everyone’s tests, so they still have them.

Hope you get that sorted out! Sounds awful.

I think you can request a rescoring.

I tried. But the Collegeboard claimed that the rescoring deadline is October 31…I’ve just written another message back at them to reconsider the rescoring plea.

Unfortunately they probably won’t rescore it. You waited too long :(

That really sucks man! AMC/SAT, however, do not cover calculus. AP calc is so much just analyzing and calculator abuse that all the math gets drained out. I think the important thing to do now is to forget about it, think about Calc BC, and move on. A 5 on calc BC will more than compensate for the 3 on your AB exam.

How did you do on your practice tests?

It is possible that you got that score, but considering there was a delay in your score I think the collegeboard may have messed up. You can be magnificent at the AMC, SAT Math, etc but still not do so well on the AP Calc test. While it is probably not common, it is possible. I do think that Collegeboard my have messed up though.
