<p>I saw this type of thread on other forums, thought it was pretty interesting.</p>

<p>Personally, I turned down</p>

<p>UCI, UCSB, UCR, and UC Davis for UCSD (not a big surprise there, eh)?</p>

<p>I know a fellow senior at my school who recently turned Stanford go to UCSD, premed (program)</p>

<p>Whether you're committed this year, or are currently attending, what colleges did you turn down to commit to UCSD (or at least figuratively "turn down" ...since I didn't actually deny any admissions due to laziness :])</p>

<p>I turned down UC Davis and University of the Pacific. =) I only applied to 5 schools.</p>

<p>A friend of mine just turned down UCLA.</p>

<p>I turned down UCSB, UCI, UCD, USC, Occidental, and Rice waitlist.</p>

<p>They were more expensive than UCSD, and I felt guilty asking my parents to spend money unnecessarily.</p>

<p>^ Money is almost always the main factor that decides which school to go to :X, it is sad but education is education and it costs money.</p>

but man some of you guys got into some good a** colleges. :)</p>
