<p>also yr ECs are just ok ok. nowhere near fantastic. if u r clueless what i am talking abt, look at fellow international students from Singapore and Europe (these form the bulk of internationals). Volunteer, get internships and do research work etc..</p>
<p>Wrong assumption is that US colleges are like IIT or REC. No they r not. ECs r hugely important and work on them. That is what sets apart a typical Indian applicant and hopefully you.</p>
<p>jeez, you're only in 10th grade. YOu never know whats gonna happen in 11th and 12thgrade and you didnt take any sat's yet. Just try to the fullest til the end.</p>
<p>It's more than just expanding. If you are involved in every club then you seem unguided. Focus on activities that reflect the interests you want to show off in your application, and strive for leadership positions within those.</p>
<p>Even with that you won't be "alright," but you'll be a likely candidate (assuming your grades remain high and your SATs/ACTs come out looking fine).</p>
