BROWN- Should I even consider?

<p>Hi Everyone! So, here's me-
Indian male student. Lucknow, North India. Regular Decision.
Senior year.
GPA- 3.7 (ISC curriculum)
SAT Subject- Math level 2- 800, Physics-780
Sat I- Taking in 4 days, definitely above 2200
AP- Microeconomics-5, Macroeconomics-5 (My school doesn't offer classes, I took them on my own)
Certified A2 level German speaker (did it out of school)</p>

<p>ECs-
Not much!
Founder/President of the school's Debating Society (Senior year)
Two international achievements- quizzing and computing (international events as in neighbouring countries like Pakistan and Nepal participated. Is that international enough, dunno!)
Semi-finalist award- Ayn Rand The Fountainhead essay contest
Bronze award- The Commonwealth essay contest
Ongoing bronze level for International Award for Young People (Duke of Edinburgh, if it supposed to mean something! )
Did school radio for some time
Have some awards her and there, won't brag about it too much..</p>

<p>Social Work-
Centre Head for English Teaching at Make A Difference (NGO), working since junior year. Don't really know how many hours that is.
Went on a nine day rural immersion/social work programme 'Gramya Manthan' (I'd say it's prestigious, but am not sure how admissions officers will look at it. I hear they look down upon programmes.)</p>

<p>Will get great recs. I'm my Economics teacher's (unpaid ) TA.</p>

<p><strong>Will need major financial aid</strong></p>

<p>I don't know what I want to study. I'm leaning towards Economics or Journalism or Business.</p>

<p>Brown is the place I am meant to be in, but am I good enough? Should I even bother filling out the application? I can't pay, and they don't have need-blind admissions policy for international students..
My other colleges are Amherst, Williams, Vassar and Trinity :D :(</p>

<p>(Why would you take SAT in 4 days? The Dec test date is way beyond 4 days…) I suggest you to consider Brown seriously when the results are out, because I used to say I will definitely get 2200 or above too, but it didn’t turn out that way when the test paper was too hard and stuff. So that.</p>

<p>But then seemingly apart from the unknown SAT, ur subject tests are good. GPA perhaps on the lower side, but Brown’s relatively easier than the other Ivies to get in, even a 2000 might get you in if you have good recommendations and essays. So it greatly depends on you.</p>

<p>You have a good chance like anyone with a 2200 SAT :)</p>

<p>We are a day ahead in India, and also I try to keep the time interval till the test short in my head, sorry about that! </p>
