Hi, I'm on my way to Uppsala University in Sweden and I want to be an Assyriologist or a Sumerologist.

I'm wondering what my major and minor should be and what I should study.

I'm thinking of majoring in Semitic languages with a focus on Assyriology and Aramaic and minoring in either archaeology, cultural anthropology, Egyptology or Greek. What would make me the most desirable for grad school? I'm aiming for either University of Leiden or University of Chicago.

Currently, I'm self-studying modern Hebrew and Levantine Arabic. I heard that French and German are useful and I can already speak French, so should I take German?

Also, would you recommend online classes in Biblical Hebrew from Hebrew University?

Thanks.
