I want to be an engineer and Cornell is way higher than Penn. what should i do?

All of you should just go play in traffic.

Then, if you’re still able to, go jack off to some US News rankings while you repudiate how you’ll actually FIT into the college you’ve chosen. The question jemoppenheim first posed was not asking “what defines Cornell/Penn so I can make an informed decision that I won’t not regret in a year once I actually get to the school I choose,” it was worded in a way to ask “Even though Cornell has more prestige in engineering, I think Penn is more prestigious in general. Which prestige matters more? I don’t actually care about the programs, but I want people to envy me.” It’ll be more helpful to your decision making process to ask the first question, in my opinion.
