I want to go to college...NOW!

Me too Masha. It's not that I dislike them (well most of them I don't dislike), but I know there's more out there. It's like...if I had to repeat my senior year I think I would prefer dropping out because I'd just go insane

Oh, celebrian..oh, celebrian... (curious what your name is) sniffles I'm in "13th" grade at my school (joined the two year IB Diploma course too late), despite graduating as part of HS class of '05. It really reeks having to spend everyday surrounded by people two years younger than me who seem to be obsessed mostly with fashion and going out on weekends and partying. (I'm generalizing, but the two year gap really bugs me, particularly in classes where there's discussion because there's no respect for LISTENING to each other. goes on non-verbal rant)

ummm... ppl in their 20's are still obsessed with fashion and going out and partying... i really dont get the point of that comment

Hmmm...true...

It's the fact that there are only 30 seniors at my school, around 140 high schoolers. And since I live with my parents, I do not go out on weekends except during the daytime (which is shortening due to winter) or play practices.

I want to meet new people, know new stories, experience different cultures and viewpoints on life.

...new people...

me too!!

I'm sick of the work load in senior year... only 2 more months! woot!

I'm a fricken sophomore:(
And all I can day dream and think about is college.
A lot of my best friends are seniors who want to go to Ivy Leagues so I get to think about them going away.
And i get to work my ass off in school and at work so I can afford gas lol.

Oh sophomore. I am so glad to not be back there. That was probably the worst year of high school for me. I am literally counting the days until I'm done. I am so sick of my school, the people, the rudeness, the gossip, the *****ing, the competition, the teachers. Everything. For supposedly how great it is, my school really sucks.

oh god...senior year sucks soo much and i thought it would be awesome. if i were a junior or worse, younger, i would go crazy. i cant wait to leave high school... (sorry for the unnecesary dumpage of teen angst)

To the original poster-

It would be to your advantage to get over it, as quickly as you can. Enjoy your time in high school and don't rush it. You will never get these days back, so make the best of them. If you don't, you will regret it when you are past 30, and if you live to 90 thats 60 years of regret man. Be happy, be thankful, and live for the moment.

It gets a hell of a lot harder after you graduate.

You are a sophomore. You can drive. You have a job. That's three things in your favor. No more complaining.

I'm a junior and due to circumstances beyond my control cannot drive while most of the sophomores at my school can. And I complain about it every day. It doesn't get you anywhere, trust me.

i don't know why grade school education is so irrelevant to our ambitions sometimes...isn't it supposed to support us and prepare us? so far it has been most time-consuming yet totally NOT productive. is that the way you feel celebrian????

*sigh, let's just look towards good news in decisions soon!

I got so depressed last year because of the simple fact that I was not a senior. I'm pretty happy thinking this is the last year :).

I'm a senior and I can't drive either! This basically take the entire fun out of senior year :( Ugh. I wish i could drive. I'm only 16 and will not turn 17 until March of senior year, so I basically won't have fun in my senior year driving around with friends and stuff. lol. im a year younger than so many people in my grade. :(

I don't like high school.. I don't see the point
Everyday is just small town drama drama drama and it's retarded
even the people I like drive me nuts

that's one of the reasons why i'm graduating early!

drama drama drama is right ^ and i live in a big city
yeah, high school sucks. life sucks. perhaps in college things wil ge tbetter. no, they will get better. just bide your time. that's what i'm doing. life sucks!

LOL, these sob stories are great. But yeah, as a senior I can't wait to get out and away from my school, house and hometown. Anyways, enjoy 2nd semester cuz it doesn't really count as much and slack off a little bit. Like 30 more weeks, jsut think abotu it, then we're all free.

30 more weeks??? I have 24

"even the people I like drive me nuts"

haha, i hear ya on that one, so sad.

Me too. I mean some of my good friends drive me CRAZY! I promise, I feel like such a jerk since senior year started. :p

Wow this is really random but I'll post it here:

Last night I had a dream that I got into Princeton ED. However, I dreamt that I somehow applied as a junior (I'm a junior now) and they didn't notice or something. So, I was freaking out in my dream of whether I should try to get my high school diploma a year early or call Princeton and tell them I applied as a junior. But then I was scared that they would hate me because I tricked them and they wouldn't even let me apply next year. Soooooooo....yea it was a random dream that shows how freakishly obsessed I am with college (/Pton).
