Hello. I am an Iranian junior male. I want to go to UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, possibly berkely and usc. and back up school sdsu. But my two big are UCSD and UCLA. My sophmore gpa was 3.5 (I took ap bio, ap world history, adv algebra 2, adv english, spanish 5-6, and a sport for sixth period. I got a 3.5 both semesters. But first semster i got three b's one c. second semester was four b's. (The other two were A's on both semesters). But this year I got a 4.3 first semester. I am taking five weighted courses, and one regular course that is called biomed, I took it since i want to be a doctor. I got three A's and three B's. Being five weight courses the highest i coudl of gotten was a 4.8. This semester I got all A's and one C in honors pre calc. That means i am getting a 4.5, because of the C. I know a C is terrible, how bad does this ruin my chances for my UC school selection. I am aiming to take the SAT next year and get a flat 2000. I have no volunterring hours yet, but I did cross country and track freshman and sophmore year. and started playing lacrosse this year and will next year. I will do community service this summer but I am scared this C i got will mess up my chances into getting into UCLA. I am a twin to a single mother whose father passed away if that helps and if i get a 4.5 this semster my 10-11 cumulative is a 3.96.. THANK you. Sorry for the several spelling errors!

You need to calculate your CSU/UC GPA for 10-11 grades see link: <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;
You also need to take the SAT and repost all your STAT’s when they are available. No way to chance.
One C will not help but should not hurt too much. Keep up the good work.

*USC is not a UC…
