Your GPA and SAT scores are on track! But since you’re still a junior, retaking the SAT will improve your chances even more. Also, you should probably indulge into more ECs so you can fill up all the spaces on the application. Good luck!
Your UW GPA is good, I too think you should retake the SAT I, your AP load looks right on track. UCLA and UCB have a big number of students applying and what separates one student from the other is ECs and you certainly should start building up on your ECs, that’ll really help a lot. Plus, if you’ve enough time retake the Math SAT II, but it isn’t necessary, anything between 700-800 is fine typically.
@Digitallyshrewd what will be a good what to build my ecs, since i saw you have an excellent ecs of your own. what will be a good to start? right now i am on my second semester of junior year. it is probably too late to join any new club. and even if i joined, all it shows is that i am just an ordinary member of the club, and i dont think that makes me any more competitive. thank you for replying. and i chanced you back.
I think your profile lacks sports. I think start something relating to a sport you like or wanna join in. It’s not too late for you, you’re still a junior so you’ve got a year. And haven’t you started off with any community services? That adds up to the ECs, those are important. Maybe Model UN?
Starting off with a new club as an ordinary member doesn’t add up, yes, but that’s your only option I guess. You’ll have to start off and see what happens. Try as hard to get involved in anything you think is interesting. Trust me, it’ll help to fill those gaps in your application.
