I want to see my chances of getting in

Is there a range for the GPA for MIT, Harvard, Yale, or Columbia?
If the colleges see your first LOW SAT score, but you improved drastically on the second, would they still take you?
Does having awards or a distinguishable honor help in the application process when you have a low GPA(like a 90)?

If you’re worried about colleges seeing a low score, you can use score choice and they won’t see it. MIT allows score choice; I don’t know about the others.

I don’t know what a GPA of 90 means, but assuming it is out of 100, it doesn’t seem low. Regardless, a high GPA won’t get you in and a nice-but-not-perfect GPA won’t keep you out.

I think the most important thing you can do to improve your chances of getting into MIT is to do something interesting with your talents and interests, something that benefits your community beyond your high school.

It would be nice if you could know your chances before you’ve even applied, but you can’t. This isn’t the last time you’ll be in this situation–in the future you’ll have jobs, maybe grad school. Try not to worry so much. Be the best you that you can be and make the best of the opportunities you have, and hopefully more opportunities will grow out of the good that you do.
