I want to transfer to a 4 year mechanical enginerring school but i have a bad UC GPA

Currently I am enrolled in a very good UC studying biology. My college is environmental based and has no engineering major on there. My GPA is around a 2.2 and i need a 3.0 to transfer to the college of engineering. I though "ok i should be able to get into a CSU since they accept students with a 2.0" but that isn't the case. I keep reading how they accept people at average of 3.4. So now im stuck finding what i want to do in the wrong major with only 3 more semesters left allowed to finish. I dont know if i should finish this and go to a community college to raise my gpa since i only have 2 classes to complete to finish the COE breadth at any college.

Im really stuck in a pickle and don't know what to do and am wondering if anyone here has gone through a similar situation can offer some advice.

I really need help to think of options to take care of this appropriately.

I think your best option may be going back to a calif community college to take your lower division engineering classes, boost your gpa, and then apply as a transfer. THIS MAY NOT WORK UNIT WISE… you may end up having too many units to be allowed in as a transfer. You’d need to figure that out with Google. Getting 2 bachelors is very hard. Most schools won’t do it, so finishing at your current school in bio could be a mistake. Getting into grad school for engineering with that GPA may also be a problem.

Basically, your GPA is super low, and that is a major hurdle to most options.
