I was denied admission; what are my chances after receiving an AA?

I applied to the college a semester before receiving my AA and was denied admission due to:

"For consideration as a transfer student, applicants with more than 60 semester hours of transferable college credit must meet competitive standards: a competitive cumulative grade point average (2.75 or better), a 2.0 GPA at the last institution attended, 2 English courses and 2 Math courses with a C or better, and two years of the same foreign language in high school or eight semester hours at the college level. However, meeting these standards does not guarantee admission to UCF. Your academic credentials should be considerably stronger than the minimum guidelines to afford you the best opportunity for admission."

My cumulative GPA when the application was made is 2.70 and my local GPA, 2.98. My GPA as of now and with predicted summer semister scores would be 2.855 cumulative GPA and 3.08 local GPA. I completed AA courses last semester. I did absolutely horrible during my first college experience 5 years ago and I've been trying to make it up but it's slowing me down like an anchor. I completed all the general education courses listed by UCF as well as some of the upper level courses.

What are my options here if I need to stick with UCF? I was already denied so does making another application for the same requested semester with an updated transcript work? I can always "shiny" up my application with an essay and recommendations. I really don't want to mention my position as president in the STEAM club because I just don't like to advertise myself like that. I don't want everyone to think that I only became the president because I wanted it on a resume or application. One of the recommendations is going to be from the club advisor.

What are my chances for the Spring term this year?

it seems like for transfer students if you have at least 60 credits or an AA they want at least a 3.0+ i’ve read online that a lot of the people who transfered from out of state who got in that already completed 60 c’s, got in with a 3.0, 3.1, 3.5, and + . so i think you should try to raise your gpa to a 3.0 or even better and re-apply.
