I Was Mistakenly Dismissed For Cheating and Dismissed

Yeah I’m a senior. So I have to retake in December.

Thanks about the college thing, I was freaking out over that.

tman-
It would be worse if you finished, left and was red flagged by the proctor as suspicious, getting your notification by an email from CB.
At least, you can study and prep for Dec.
Register for the next test date and don’t forget to pay extra for your late registration fee.

Oh dang it, I just realized the grammar error in the title. Hahah.

@ Batllo

Yeah, that’s pretty much the only option I have. Luckily, the late registration hasn’t passed yet.

most proctors dont care, most of them are stay at home moms looking for extra cash. I dont see why this proctor deems it necessary to censure you for cheating. If there was a commotion like that in my test room, I would literally, say “****”. hes creating all that commotion, but doesnt realize there are other students taking a test which determines their future. Inconsiderate, too serious people :(

I was going to make a post asking about people who got kicked out of the SAT for a stupid reason, and I found one. Its funny because while I was taking the test I was thinking " I wonder if someone got kicked out today?". I’m not making fun of you but I just find it ironic.

You cheated. I WAS IN YOUR CLASS.

This kid went on to section 3 and marked at least 10 answers when everybody was on section 2. I then told the proctor during the break to watch this kid because he kept going on to other sections. When we were suppose to go on to section 3, this kid started going back to section 2 and was erasing answers. The proctor looked at him and saw him and then confiscated his test. He was disruptive and kept making a fit about it. He obviously cheated and he also had a pre-written essay under his desk.

the proctor also laughed because this kid’s last name is law which is ironic because he was caught cheating. He tried to lie his way through it but everybody saw him cheating. He kept circling answers in future sections and the proctor saw them in the test book. He’s going to obviously lie on this forum for sympathy but I know collegeboard won’t buy it.

Life- Thanks.
We fell for his sob story.

Yes, Life, please tell what happened.

There’s no point in being spiteful when it didn’t disadvantage you in anyway.

Edit: oops sorry, I posted 5min late.

i’m not but he disrupted our class for quite a while. He kept arguing with the proctor and took time away from our test.

By the way, this kid’s buddy was also caught cheating w/ his phone. That also took an additional 10 minutes away from our test. They both tried to lie to our proctor about what happened and this kid kept saying “lemme explain! lemme explain!” but the proctor wouldn’t see to it. He just dismissed him. I have no sympathy for people who try to cheat — he just needs to study just like everybody else and work hard!

a few notes:

@OP: cheating will cancel your scores and most likely bar you from taking a collegeboard exam again (SAT+SAT2+AP). they did this for discussing test questions, so doing it for cheating isn’t unlikely
@life: enjoy your canceled scores. everyone in the room of cheating will have their results canceled as well (though free retakes are likely)

of course, i may be mixing cases in my mind…but this is correct iirc

rofl, canceling everyones scores in the room? the definitely does not happen.

Life, if you know that he was filling in Section 3 questions, obviously you were looking at his paper. So thanks for the info, cheater.

Not to mention, no one likes a snitch, so ■■■■.

LOL @ this thread

omg everyone’s trolling lol!

It may seem absurd, but if you really changed something on the previous section, I don’t think they’ll accept your appeal…

Lifeofsolitude claims that tman855 had a pre-written essay under his desk.

I do know one thing for sure. It was so NOT a pre-written essay for the test.
I saw that piece of scrap paper, and that’s exactly what it was. It was trash scrap paper.

Life, since you apparently know tman so well… then you knew that he lost his print-out before the test. tman had to borrow someone’s phone and use the internet to show the proctor his registration.
Without the print-out, how would he know his registration number for the test? tman took out a sheet of scrap paper, wrote down his number, and handed the phone back to its owner.

Was there other stuff written down on that paper? Yes, but it wasn’t in the least bit related to the SAT at all. It was merely a wrinkled-up piece of scrap paper with stuff crossed out.

…and I like Traceur’s conclusion. I was thinking the same thing. She was totally looking around at other people’s papers.
