So happy for you @lyc0r1s and thank you for checking in one year later! You are a great success story for many kids who might be looking at their results right now and wondering if transferring is in the cards. Great luck in your new life…you will do great.
@momprof9904 Thank you so much! I look forward to starting in the Fall.
@SoofDad Thank you for the kind words, I the journey was long and stressful but the end result makes it all worth it in the end.
@reads2222 Hey! thanks for contributing, but I think there may have been a miscommunication? After I was rejected last year as a senior in HS, I decided against Towson and instead went to Montgomery College because I knew that UMD was really what I wanted and that I was passionate about Public Health as my major. I did one year at Montgomery College and I will now be starting my sophomore year at UMD as a transfer student. Hope that clears up any confusion!
@InvisRiptide Thank you for the support, I completely agree, your grit factor is definitely one of the strongest determinants you have in life. Wanting success more than anything else is what drives greatness.
@SouthernHope Thank you for the kind words. Choosing the transfer path took a lot of consideration but in the end I’m grateful that I did it and chose to not settle for anything less than what I knew was right for my future. I really just want to give hope to any other students who are in my position and let them know that they’re gonna be just alright.
I hope I have your optimism when the time comes
Both Towson and MSM are good! I know you’ll be successful at whichever you choose to go to
Hi there. This is also my son’s top choice for class of 2024. May I ask what your SAT and GPA were? He took SAT 4times and his best is 1210/620 Math and his Unweighted GPA is 3.75, does he have a shot as an OOS student? Thanks for honesty
Unlikely.
