First off, you are a sophomore so you still have two and a half long years of high school. The best advice I can give you is to get your GPA up to at least a 3.8 to have a good chance. Currently the average weighted GPA of accepted applicants is 4.0 . Also they would like to see you take rigorous classes which I see you are doing. So take all the APs you can handle.

Second, because you are a sophomore, I bet you haven’t taken the SATs yet. Starting to study early can help a lot. UGA superscores and the average accepted applicant’s superscored SAT is around 1950. If you can get over 2100 then you will be pretty safe in getting in if you meet all the advice offered above.

Being a minority helps a lot.

Assuming you are a Georgia resident, if you really focus on getting that 3.8GPA and an SAT of over 2000 you are pretty much guaranteed a spot at UGA but nothing is set in stone. Good luck and Go Dawgs!
