I will officially ban the use of the word "chance" as a verb........

Great scores, though the ECs seem a little generic (save for music). A supplement would probably help, since it does seem like you’re really good from all those awards. Essays and recs will probably be a key factor. The Ivies are a reach for ANYONE, but you seem to have as decent a shot as anyone. All of the others are at best matches and at worst low reaches.

thanks, guys!

bumppppppp

Is USNCO semifinalist something new? They used to only do Honors or High Honors, something like that.

Back in the day stupid soflacs didn’t even tell us until I stalked my own name in a newsletter.

Lollerpants: Still waiting to hear if I got Honors or High Honors. Semifinalist status means top 1000 or so in the nation.

Wow, I know I got high honors or something, but they didn’t even bother to notify me of what semifinalist was a few years ago.

Dude, holy ****. All-state orchestra as a 9th grader? (Even though I know that there’s the 9/10 and 11/12 for Florida, that’s still amazing.) Superiors on grade sevens at state as a sophomore and junior? On two different instruments? You, my friend, are talented. Where do you go to school? Are you going to do something involving music in college?

bumppppp 10 char

what if the teacher who nominates me is not from that specific college?

belly: they do not have to be as long as your name is submitted to the alumni association
