in the summer. same session
Am I going to die or is this doable?
Help me please thank you

sounds a bit masochistic to me.

i don’t think it’ll be too bad. Just a lot of memorizing for ib131/l. then again that is 9 units = 18units…

Dr. Lewis teaches anatomy during summer. From what I’ve heard she is an utterly horrible professor.

I took IB 131 with Lewis Fall 2009 and she is actually a decent professor. Her explanations are very thorough, if a bit dry. I guess people are comparing her to Diamond, who has had years of experience teaching the subject. Also, if you’re taking the lab concurrently, you learn a lot of the stuff before the lecture anyway.

That said, 9 units is a lot. R/B classes require a lot of reading and anatomy is going to require a lot of memorization over a short period of time. Neither class is particularly difficult compared to some of Berkeley’s lower div sciences, but it still is a lot of work.

Thank you for everyone’s input! I decided to drop R5B.

But just wondering, how is IB131&131L compared to Bio1A&1AL?

I feel that IB 131L is more difficult than Bio 1AL simply because there is just so much more to remember. I’m sure some people would disagree.

The IB 131 lecture should be easier than the Bio 1A lecture not because the exams are any easier, but because the material that you learn in lab will be the same as the lecture material in IB 131. (while the material for lab and lecture is different in Bio 1A).
