IB Credits

I was looking into Brandeis’ policy on credits for IB students and it is a sweet deal. Any student with 30 points of higher and a min. of 5 on all three Higher Level class gets sophomore standing.

I am a planning on doing economics/pre-med at Brandeis. I am wondering if I should take the intro eco credits, credits for some of the general requirements (foreign language, quantitative reasoning…) Any suggestions? How does taking these credits look on my med school application (I assume the grades are going to be pass/fail)? But there are classes I definitely want to get credits for such as foreign language. I am fluent in 3 languages. I don’t think I need to be taking this class. I would be grateful if someone could give his or her suggestion on this.

Anyone have a view on the eco/pre-med choice? My reason for choosing this major is because I love economics (took it higher level is IB) and I want to apply to med school. How difficult do you think this track is?? Pro/Con of not having science as a major for a premed??

Answers to any of the questions above would be helpful. Thanks!!!

Does Cambridge A Levels get credit? and whats the minimum there?
