IB Major Questions

<p>How long does it take to process the major declaration forms? I haven't declared IB as my major yet, so I'm currently on the waitlist for IB 131 (60-something on the waitlist). I was wondering if I declare my major before the end of the semester, would I be able to get into the class? Or if I declare even sooner? </p>

<p>Another question I have is for the courses in the three different areas: Ecology, Physiology, and Human Biology. When it lists a lecture/lab course under "course number", for example "IB 131/L", do I need to take both IB 131 and IB 131L to fulfill the requirement, or can I just take the lecture? (I know that I'd need to take other IB courses to make up for the units). </p>

<p>Oh, and for the lab/lecture requirement or just lab in general, are any of the courses known to be easier than others? Thanks :)!</p>

<p>Go try to get declared IB ASAP, if you can get declared on BearFacts before the class fills, you will be added.</p>

<p>You can take IB 131 alone for the Area 3 requirement
OR
You can take IB 131 and 131L for your Lec/Lab requirement OR use it for your Area 3 anyways.</p>
