<p>I am not doing IB for college credit and it should not be done for that purpose. Some schools take IB credit, others do not as mentioned ^^ above.</p>
<p>My son is happy to have sophomore standing. It really doesn't help much with classes nor does he want it to since he wants to take special courses out of his field. (My son doesn't consider IB at college level since his professors are so good where he is now; the high school teachers can't compare) But he has advanced standing for the housing lottery, registration and the like. So that can be a nice perk down the road but certainly not a reason to take the IB.</p>
<p>I don't care about the credit (since we only get 2 no matter how many exams we passed), but it is very nice to test out of intro classes.</p>
