IB Student Taking SAT IIs

I'm an IB student planning on taking November Subject Tests.

My current curriculum doesn't really coincide with the SAT IIs.

My Highers are: Philosophy, English, Chinese and Art

My Standards are: Math and Biology

I'm planning on teaching myself and taking the Bio. & W.Hist. SAT IIs. I'm considering Lit. and Chinese or Spanish...

How well do I need to do on a subject test if I want to submit it? Is an 800 a must or is anything over 700 good?

Also, do any of you have any advice for an IB student taking the Bio. SAT IIs? Do any of you know anyone who has successfully taught him or herself SAT Biology?

I’m an IB student taking SAT IIs too :D, and taking bio this saturday. So nervous… As a rule of thumb, over 700 is preferable

Im in IB and take IB SL Bio. The stuff you learn in IB bio is completely not related to the SAT Bio test. the stuff IB teaches you and the things SAt tests you are different. Best if you take a SAT bio prep book and spend three hours a week memorizing it. I suggest you not to take SAT Bio if you don’t have the time.

I took SAT Bio during June 2010. However, what made it worse was i took Chem and Math at the same time. In the end i got a 780 for bio, which i didn’t really expect. but anything can happen. just make sure for SAT II bio you don’t really depend on your IB Bio courseload cause it really does not help you at all for this test
