<p>I know this has been discussed so many times before, but I still have a question.
It seems like breaking into NYC IB is really hard to pretty much impossible graduating from NU.
I want to know current students, or past students' opinion on this. I'm not sure if I made the right decision by applying ED. Thank you.</p>
<p>That’s simply not true, particularly with respect to programs like MMSS. Northwestern is both a consulting and IB target.</p>
<p>Here’s a list of MMSS interns over the last couple of years; plenty of Summer Analyst positions in IB at BBs. </p>

<p>Even rudimentary searches on LinkedIn will return a large number of Northwestern grads currently or in the past having worked in NYC IB. The Northwestern name itself is both desirable and recruited in IB circles.</p>
