i picked stevenson and im health science :]

physics… I’m a transfer so i guess i’m stuck with porter… blah

Thanks you Liesel you make my life so much easier! haha

UC80… you live on porter (like me) but are not affiliated with it! You can change to live on your college after the first quarter

I am also an incoming transfer. I am required to dorm over at Porter but I will be affiliated with hopefully college 9, college 10, or Crown.

Rawr, people.

Psych major, probably in Stevenson or Cowell.
Ok, they say psych is the most popular major and I’ve found like, 2 people besides me what gives? Anyone here??

^ @starrfire303, I’m planning to major in psych! So you aren’t alone in that department :)

Molecular Cell and Developmental Bio!
I am so excited and I really hope I get into college 9!
Just because I love the way it looks haha.

i am molecular cell and developmental bio too =] its so bad how long they make you wait! i’m so anxious to find out what college im affiliated with!

Merril, Linguistics major

@bananananslug: yay! I think I’m eventually going to do the intensive psych program, what about you?

@starrfire303: I think I am going to double major- psych and something else, but I’m not too sure yet! I don’t know anything about the intensive psych program- but that sounds interesting. What colleges are you looking to stay at?!

Ok I haven’t been in college yet but I seriously don’t recommnd double majoring that early first worry about ur own major requirement and workload b4 handling another :O

It’s really not that difficult to double major if you are completely set on the two majors. My only advice is to take your first quarter easy by taking your core course, maybe an intro course for your major, and then a “fun GE” that you think you will enjoy. My friend did the opposite and took a core course, a physics course, and multivariable calculus. He nearly failed all 3 classes because he wasn’t prepared for college academics (especially engineering).

However, I dedicated my freshman winter quarter to all major-related courses (double major in business econ and computer science) and I found it REALLY helpful to finish these courses early (on track to graduate a year early).

I’m planning on doing a double major in psych and business. does anyone know how the business program is?

and wat is the intensive psych program?

UCSC doesn’t have a business program. They have a Business Management Economics program, if that’s what you mean. The program is decent, but it really depends on what type of career you are looking for. People who major in Business Econ usually get recruited by accounting firms (UCSC is well known for that). Otherwise job placement isn’t that great for other industries.

Here is more info for the intensive psych program: [UC Santa Cruz - Psychology - Undergraduate Program - Intensive Major Psychology](http://psych.ucsc.edu/undergraduate/intens_major_req.php)
The major is really helpful if you are seeking a grad degree in psych. It also requires 5 more courses than regular Psychology.

I changed my order a bit: it’s going to be Cowell, 8, 9, Kresge, Crown

i am enon major… i think i m going to be affiliated with college 9…
i was wondering those who have seen the campus what do they think of it…
howcome everyone wants to be at porter is it really clean and stuff?
