<p>Don't think it is going to make that much of a difference. It could even be more problematic with the SAT crowd-- HS students--more parent involvement. Don't think too many parents are going to plunk down a good deal of money and have a college student with no teaching experience tutor their kid for the SAT.
MOST SAT tutors- be in private- Kaplan-PR have teaching experience and more knowledge about the test other than taking it once as a student.
If you "aced" the SAT, it may be something to look into a year or two from now. But now--I do not think so!!
May I suggest you do some tutoring at your college. I know at my d's school, they have strong students tutor those that need help in a particular subject area. I think that would be a first step in showing your ability to teach and work with students</p>
