Idk where to put this

I’ve got 3 questions:

  1. I know now that I'm not supposed to take an 'easy' senior year, but I didn't know this back when we were selecting courses, so I decided to go with 2 art classes (although I did actually want to do art, it's a bonus that it's also easy). Is it going to look bad on my application if they see me taking these two classes (although I'm not slacking in my core subjects so)?
  2. I also heard that if you do take easy classes senior year that you should do another club or get a job to fill up the extra time, so would joining a few more clubs/honor societies help out? (I've already done marching band 4 years, and did an extracurricular class for 9th/10th grade)

2a. If I’ve done nothing but the marching band for these 4 years and the extracurricular class mentioned above for the 2, would colleges give me a side eye for joining a bunch of clubs/societies senior year (I’m looking to join chess, robotics, math honor society, and science honor society)?

All of these questions depend on what type of schools you are aiming for.
However, I personally don’t think it is a good idea to join a bunch of extracurriculars in senior year- it will look as though you are trying to pad your resume.

Adcoms will ignore your diving into EC’s as a desperate attempt to look good.

^^^I agree. I don’t think that joining any clubs in Oct. of your senior year will have any impact on admissions as you wil not have enough time to be meaningfully involved.

Agree re the clubs. The 2 art classes are fine. Don’t worry about that
