<p>Good grief, what two year colleges require SAT’s or ACT’s in the first place? They are predominantly open admissions, or perhaps require a minimum high school GPA that’s on the low end.</p>
<p>You seem to be under the misconception that SAT’s were always universally or close to universally accepted, and now the ACT is finally catching up. That’s not true. There were plenty of midwestern colleges that didn’t accept the SAT just like there were plenty of east coast colleges that didn’t accept the ACT. The two tests “grew up” in different areas (for lack of a better expression). Now each are both more widely accepted in the other area than they had been previously. </p>
