how well do you think it would do?
I think I'd manage at least a B+ average, probably more A's and A-'s than anything with a B mixed in here and there.

who would you hang around with?
Anyone who is into baseball and/or computers. However, I'd probably stick more with the friends from "another school" (meaning my gang I hang out with all the time here).

what would happen to the counseling centers?
If CC was truly as it is, they would be student-run.

what would be the ethnic composition?
I'm not sure what it is on here, but I'd imagine we'd have some diversity in not only race but also SES.

the average sat score/act score/etc?
I'm from the old school so I'd say 1350 for SAT (adjust that for the new one) and 28 or 29 for ACT.

what clubs would there be?
Almost everything, from debate team and student government to language clubs and band/chorus.

how many sports and what kind of sports?
This too would be pretty wide but we'd have to include the classic sports such as baseball, football, basketball (for both girls and guys and if I have any say, also co-ed), soccer (also for both), softball, volleyball, tennis and swimming. We'd have to make sure there would be an ultimate frisbee team.

how many competitions would list "college confidential" as the high school of someone who has achieved recognition?
Probably a good deal. There seem to be some competitive and bright students on here.

what would happen to the ap classes of the school?
If I had my say, they'd exist but not be weighted.

how much math would be offered?
Everything from remedial pre-algebra through Calc BC plus stats and problem solving (both of which were math electives at my high school).

how large would the library be?
It would be about as large as a gymnasium, maybe bigger, and also have a computer lab attached with 25+ machines. Again, we had one like that at my high school.

what would be the school cliches that would form?
You'd have your typical preps, jocks, nerds, emo kids, band dorks, etc. But I also feel that you'd have subcategories of each--those who obsess about SAT/ACT/getting into college and those who don't. Maybe that would even be its own category.

how would it rank on newsweek rankings?
I don't read Newsweek so I'm not 100% sure how it works but it would probably rank pretty high.

and what of colleges/summer programs/competitions that limited too many people from the same school from attending?
Perhaps they'd use a tie-breaker. It could be GPA, a test, lottery, etc.

what would the asb office be doing?
The same as any other ASB. They'd plan things and carry them out on whatever budget they had. Don't forget the NHS could also do this.

what would happen during prom?
Well, for one, I would not be there. As for those who go, I think they'd think of random threads to write about their dating experiences and if they want to know if their date is in love with them or something.

what would be the school's primary problems?
Besides the million kids asking dating questions to the counselors, probably overcompetitiveness on the academic front. Maybe drugs and alcohol, not sure if anyone on here likes to break the law. They were never really an issue at my school but we had our share of crackdowns.

what would happen to the non-AP/non-honors courses?
They'd exist, as would the remedial courses. You have to include every track. I'm sure there are some people on here who could take AP Gov but be in remedial Algebra.

what would YOUR class rank be?
How many are attending? If there's 100 and the courses aren't weighted, maybe about 35. If they're weighted, since I took one honors throughout high school, probably 80.

how would it compare to tj/stuy/ncssm/etc?
Not sure what these are.

how would the sports teams fare?
With so many people focused on academics, I'd say they wouldn't be so hot. But for my fellow athletes on this board, we'd try our best to be competitive. I'd probably play basketball and baseball.

what would be the school song?
"Humanity" by ATB. Just because it's a good song.

school mascot?
If I'm really thinking this board, probably a huge SAT prep guide. I'd prefer Cliffs Notes if I had a say.

what would happen during assemblies? lol
I wouldn't pay attention and neither would half the school, I'm willing to bet.

what percentage of the school would qualify for National Merit?
Too many. Maybe 65%.
