Lets say I get into a school early decision. I would have to call up all my regular/rolling decision schools and withdrawl my application as soon as I get in to the college.

If I were to get a C in one of my classes or something and get my admission rescinded in June, what would I do? Can I still contact the schools that accepted me (or was planning to accept me) earlier and be like, "I actually want to go to your school now"?

I know the simple answer is: DONT GET A C. But sometimes its not that easy. I might (god forbid) screw up and end up with a C in one of my subjects. Is the only option to take a year off?

That happened to a girl from my school wayyy back and she ended up applying to a local community college that was still taking apps during the summer. Maybe different schools have different policies, but from what I know, you cannot call up the schools that were "planning to" accept you and ask them to do so in June. They've already filled up their class and thrown out your file.

Ha, I hope you were kidding.. the ED schools I looked at clearly state that upon acceptance, you "must" withdraw your apps from your regular/rolling schools. The use of the word "must" probably indicates that if you don't, your ED school has no obligation to keep you. I don't know if they would go to such extreme measures, but I wouldn't risk it!

Well in that case, it's kind of illogical. What if I get accepted to someplace ED and I change my mind? If I want them to revoke my acceptance, I can just "forget" to withdraw my applications, get accepted somewhere I like, p*ss off my ED school, have them rescind my acceptance, and go to the school I like.

Actually, now that I think of it, that seems like an excellent idea. lolool

I believe you have to pay them a lot of money to rescind ED accceptance, and then other colleges are informed that you failed to follow through with the ED conditions.
