I'm trying to get into engineering but the thing is that i'm intent on going to cockrell.
If i get rejected, I'm going to transfer in.
with that being the case, I don't know what to put for my second choice school.
should i pick something that makes transferrin in the next semester easy?
am i allowed to put the same school?

Each major within engineering has it’s own standards and I believe all internal transfers are treated equally. What you want to select for your 2nd choice is a major which is both easier to get into and is the most similar to your first choice. Your first year normally consists of a couple Intro to XX courses that cannot be accessed from outside the major. However, I have been told that some other Intro Engineering classes can be substituted for your new major’s Intro courses after you transfer.

You can’t put the same school… there is no other school that would make transferring “easy.” But if you don’t get accepted to your 1st or 2nd choice, they will put you in the school of undergraduate studies. And you’d just take the classes you need/basics then try to transfer to engineering.

Undecided (School of Undergraduate Studies).
Students can attend max for 2 years and have to transfer somewhere else.
