So am I basically screwed for when i want to transfer out of my cc? Are colleges going to even give me a chance?

What’s stopping you from taking the SAT now?

Some won’t accept an ACT/SAT score taken after high school graduation, so you need to do your research.

Now for the really good news: Many colleges and universities don’t require the ACT/SAT at all - for a current list, see [The National Center for Fair & Open Testing | FairTest](http://www.fairtest.org) Many colleges and universities don’t require the ACT/SAT for transfer students who have completed X credits already - read the websites carefully to see just exactly how each institution defines X. Many don’t require this if you complete a full Associates degree. And, if you fulfill the requirements for a specific articulation agreement between your CC and a 4-year institution you don’t need an ACT/SAT score.

Stop by the Transfer Counselor’s office at your CC, and ask out about your options.

Good luck!

Ghostt: I wasn’t aware that you could take them after high school.

happymomof1: Thank you!! That was very helpful and i will look in to that.

Well, I took the SAT while I was on a gap year. I took both of my subject tests after graduation as well. I haven’t had any problems with any of my schools.
