I'm class of 2012 and UC's don't require the submission of SAT II's. But even though this requirement has been removed my peers still seem to be taking it... making it more competitive for me, darnit. Anyways this means I have to begin studying, but If I do this would that mean I have to send in two test subjects to have any impact or would sending in only one be sufficient.

And are my last days to take these in June or can I take them in October when I'm a senior? I plan on taking SAT II math and then either World History or Bio(which is easier?). thx

I took subject tests in December of my senior year, and it was still fine.

If you’re taking World History, it has to be either June or December (only times it’s offered).
World History is easier to get a high score on than Bio (800 on the former is 95th percentile, 800 on the latter is 99th+ percentile), but this is taken into account. Take whichever you’re better at (or both). You can take 1-3 per sitting, and don’t have to decide which until you start.

Most colleges that require them ask for 2. Georgetown alone requires 3 (they now word it as “strongly recommend”, but their admissions people continue to say it’s a requirement).
